Synopsis for "The Cows of War"Edit

B.A. throws obstacles in front of Bob to prevent him investigating a random cow by the side of the road, but each one makes him more and more convinced that the cow is important. When Brian casts Detect Magic on the cow, B.A. sarcastically declares that it radiates a blinding magical aura, and Bob adopts the "magical cow".

Against the advice of the group, Dave joins a vampire-themed LARP and immediately becomes obsessed with his character. He invites Bob to join too, who states that he will report back to the group on how it goes, but ends up obsessed too.

Synopsis for "Spell-Jacked"Edit

Pete suggests the Knights try the "Spell-Jacked" CCG as a break from RPGs. Brian quickly becomes obsessed and buys tons of booster packs and apparently destroys a rare card owned by Bob, and the table breaks down into rules arguments and a group demand to spend the entire group treasury on boxes of Spell-Jacked.

Synopsis for "The Great Revolt"Edit

After B. A. suggests using his homebrewed critical hit tables, the group organize to take a stand against B. A.'s use of the table, insisting that the "Game Master" should be renamed a "Game Trustee" and the players should have the right of veto over their decisions.

  • "Angel of Mercy" and "Spell-Jacked" are both marked with trademark symbols.
  • Sara has an abrasive attitude which is markedly different than in later strips.
  • The strip does not show who destroys Bob's rare card in Spell-Jacked, but it is commonly assumed to have been Brian.
